Have Mercy on Me

Pastor Jeff shares the story of blind Bartimaeus. Despite being labeled and overlooked by society due to his blindness and poverty, Bartimaeus sought out Jesus, calling for His mercy. When he cried out, Jesus stopped and answered Bartimaeus’s desperate plea, healing him and restoring his sight. Remember that God’s mercy is always available to us. Like Bartimaeus, we can cry out for help regardless of what others think. God wants to hear from you, and He cares about your circumstances.

Challenge: This week, take a moment to reflect on any labels you feel you carry. Write them down, pray about them, and then symbolically remove them by tearing up the paper, rejecting those labels, and embracing your identity in Christ.

Lord, thank You for Your mercy and kindness. Help me to cry out to You like Bartimaeus did. Guide me in rejecting negative labels and encourage me to have faith in Your plans for my life. Amen.
